When Australian boutique lingerie brand Honey Birdette started in Brisbane, it was its founder, Eloise Monaghan, drinking a few glasses of wine with her friends and discussing how hard it was to find quality luxury lingerie for women. That problem demanded a solution so in 2006 she started her business, which is now offering high quality, beautiful lingerie and accessories for women all over Australia and expanding into the United States and United Kingdom as well.
Until recently women in the United States who want to try out the Honey Birdette brand for themselves had no local webpage, and needed to wait a long time to have it shipped internationally. Now they have a new option with the just-launched US platform which will cut down on shipping times, offer free shipping on orders over 50 dollars, and enhance the customer experience with more choices and simpler returns. This came after a 374 percent increase in sales over the last twelve months, sales numbers that Eloise Monaghan would like to see climb even higher.
Honey Birdette may even open up retail locations in the United States in the coming years, but so far no exact locations have been announced. The same is true in Europe, where aside from the UK they have no retail boutique stores decided upon yet.
In the United Kingdom, however, they are already opening up and serving women with the unique style, beautiful bras and briefs, and even sex toys and accessories that women love. Honey Birdette plans to increase the store count in the UK retail portfolio up to 40 brick and mortar locations by the end of 2018. Most recently, they added the first non-Australian store in London’s Covent Garden, followed by the second and third in Leeds’ Victoria Gate and Westfield White City.
