Entrepreneur Oren Hatch Explains How He Went From Marketing To Launching Talkspace

Oren Frank is an entrepreneur who co-founded Talkspace. This is an app which gives people a way to access mental health care over the internet. They are connected with a licensed therapist that they virtually visit which greatly reduces the cost of having therapy and is much more convenient than traditional therapy.

He is a big believer in using technology to improve lives and make overall society better for everyone. Oren Hatch founded his company along with his wife Roni seven years ago. The mission of Talkspace is to provide “Therapy for all”. Oren and Roni had some bumps in the road of marriage that they had sought out couples therapy for. He says they both learned how beneficial this was to a relationship and their own mental health.

Oren Frank says that accessing mental health care is a universal and moral right. He feels that everyone should be able to talk to a therapist when either they want to or need to. Talkspace is a way that many people can access mental health care who otherwise wouldn’t have that opportunity due to time or financial constraints.

He spent several years as a senior advertising executive before launching Talkspace. Oren Frank spent most of those years with the global marketing firm McCann Erickson Worldwide. He created many memorable advertising campaigns. He has said that by launching Talkspace he hopes that it redeems him from having worked as an advertiser for all those years.

He says that healthy sleep is important for everyone and he is no exception. He gets at least seven hours of sleep each night and has seen how this habit has contributed to both his well being and productivity.
